A Little Shimmer...
There’s been something I’ve wanted to do for four years now and have yet to do it. I want my nose pierced. Not some big ole ring, just the tiniest of shimmers. [Around here we call them “shimmers”.]
I’ve talk to several fellow bloggers and voiced my questions I had, and they have all been so sweet in answering me. Right after the boys were born I went and had my doubles in my ears done and my second cartilage. Pain wasn’t too bad. However, they do the nose with a needle, so I’m a little apprehensive…. for the pain that is.
Do you have any advice, thoughts, or general comments on the subject??

Just a really little stud...thats flesh or flat if you will to my skin.
Make sure you go somewhere that is sterile. Where they wear gloves and have health standards.
Take an asprin about 1 hour before...you will be fine.
I say do it. If you dont like it take the stud out and it'll close right? I couldn't do it cause i'm a big chicken. LOL.
DO IT! You have such a cute nose it would look great. I have had so many piercings and I loved all of them. To bad I have to have a real job or my face would be completely full of metal. Better take pictures of when he does it and post them!
oh i soooo want to do the same thing! you know what i did? i went to a store that sells costume jewellery and bought a pack of those stick on diamonds...really really tiny ones and i stuck one on to see what it would look like, and alas i didn't like how i looked with a nose ring!
you should perhaps try that too before going in for the real thing! and about the real thing, i say go for it!!!

I got my belly button pierced when I was in college. I don't like needles, but it really wasn't that bad. You can always remove it if you don't like it.

You have a cute nose... go for it! I always wanted to have it done too but my nose... uh.. no way. The last thing I need is more attention drawn to my nose.
I think the moustache growing has gone to Mr. Jones head... he's getting cocky.
I've wanted to do that for quite a while too. I like the idea of a "test run" with stickers!

At one time I had my ears peirced 10 times including the cartilage. Only the first 4 were done in a shop, I did the rest myself. I prefer my way, it hurt less.
As for nose piercings, my bro and his wife have them and swear they hurt less then ears.
You should go for it. There was a point in my life that I wanted everything pierced, every-thing. But I got over it. If I was going to get a piercing, it'll probably be a lip ring. I always wanted one.

piece o' cake, mama! i had my navel pierced with a needle and it wasn't bad at all - even the healing! had to take it out when i was preggo, though... a bunch of my friends have nose piercings - not one has said it hurt. just watch oyt for sticking boogies! ;)
I went with a friend to have her nose pierced a few years ago. I must admit, it wasn't a pleasant experience for her -- yes painful and a bit of blood.
But in the end, it looked really good on her.

ohhh I say go for it. I think it would look great, and you can always let it close if you dont like it. As for the pain... gosh you had 2 kids... hellooooooo you can do ANYTHING!
