Fishbowl...

I use to enjoy watching the news, MSNBC to be exact. Key word there is “use” to. Now however I can’t bring myself to watch, it’s too depressing and it’s getting too scary. You need to have some Prozac and Lithium waiting for you for when the news is over. Or at the very least some form of sleep aid.

So what little TV I use to watch has now been cut down to only Grey’s on Thursday nights and Law in Order SVU on Tuesdays. For the sake of my well-being I have had to cut out my precious MSNBC.

I just can’t take it anymore…

Take it away gentlemen.

Funny, I rarely watch TV too but I do like to watch the news, just to see what's going on in the world. You're right though, it is depressing and frustrating.

I am a CNN junkie for the ticker at the bottom. I blow dry my hair in the morning to it. I hate it, but I watch it like a train wreck.

I'm down to like 8 hours of tv a week. Which really isn't as bad as I was last year. I'm doing better. Only bad thing-my blogging is up. Which is the lesser of two evils I wonder?!

Ahhhh I was just asking Jamie today whatever happened to Fred Durst. I love that version of the song. It's in my mp3 player actually.

I stopped watching the news because I got tired of the senseless violence. So I pop in the Matrix dvd and watch some more senseless violence. How ironic.

I personally think that it should be mandatory for every American citizen to watch the news about what is going on in the world. From an unbiased source (which doesn't exist, unfortunately). If we, as a people, dig our heads out of the sand and wake up to reality, then maybe we would demand that something be done to make things right -- better for the human race.

Why am I thinking of the brainwashing scene from "A Clockwork Orange"?

the "news" has become less journalistic and more interested in shock value, i find.
i don't like it either.

Since local news is pretty much a waste - mostly promos for upcoming network shows - now that the national news is full of depressing junk, there aren't many places to turn.

You still have your CD player.

I read my news online, mostly headlines from Yahoo. I can't watch the news on TV. It makes my blood boil and my heart ache.
