Ironic?

I find it Ironic that the word "Dyslexic" is a very hard word to spell. It pisses me off, cause whenever I'm telling someone I'm dyslexic I have to look it up or spell it way off. Though most know what I'm trying to say.

We already look stupid, when ask to write on the spot and miss spell everything. At times I will type out my comment for other blogs in Word so I can spell check!! The comment box should have spell check!!

So it bothers me that the word to describe what afflicks some is "Dyslexic".... Where the oddest letters are put together and don't sound the way its spelled....A Dyslexic's worst fear!!

I didn't know you were Dyslexic.

I can't spell peripheral. I have to look that one up all the time. I also have a hard time spelling forty. Or is it fourty? I don't know.

Spell check has saved my life many a time. I love how it messes up cuss words though and gives you something random and no where near what you're wanting.

I have the same problem with the word "lisp" and it's almost impossible to say when you have one! Thank goodness for speech therapy :)

Aha, I was going to say the same thing as mind sprite!
It's like when someone has a lisp, they're like "I have listhp"
and then you're all like "what?!"
Oh kudos to the silly person who invented English.
=P

surprise? or suprise? gets me everytime.
my hubby is dyslexic too - transposes letters all the time. i never thought about it before, but lisp and dyslexia are two perfect examples. doesn't make much sense, right?

one thing that totally cracks me up is the names that pharma companies give to their drugs, 'cause there'd be NO WAY anyone would ever be able to spell or pronounce them otherwise. instead, we have names like lunesta. mmmm.... sounds good. i'd probably want it, even if i didn't know what it was! :)

I thought it was surprize. :-)

Product names are the worst. Cheer, Gleem and anything that is "lite". Geez.

Kinda like when you take a word and say it over and over again, it starts to sound really stupid and then use it in a sentence and it no longer even sounds right.....

Ok so maybe I have to much alone time!!

One of my favorite things to ponder about English, is how a house can burn up as it burns down.
