Hello My Name Is Katie and I'm A Nancy Drew Addict!
Hi Katie!! Yes yes I admitt it I have become an addict to the Nancy Drew computer games!! Their great. Femmie and I have a problem we can't quit!! I highly recommend them...they say their for kids 10 and up...but let me tell you these 10 yr olds that are solving this are geniueses!! I got stuck several times and had to referre to the message board online for help...and them little people are some smart bugers!!!!! Anywho I love them and soon I fear I will need an Intervention!!!!
So this morning I was watching the today show and they were talking about smart money moves........it left me shaking my head!! They were saying to be smart and sound you should not only have investments but you should also have an emergency cash fund with 3-6 months worth of living expenses!! Who can do that? Sure I agree you should have all that it's all a very smart move but who can afford that anymore? All these shows always just asssume that we all have great paying jobs which for most of america just isn't so!! In turn making the average american feel like shit because they don't even come close to having a so called "portfolio" that we are told we SHOULD have.....please I can barely meet my esstial living bills as it is without trying to sock away 3-6mo worth of living expenses!! Are ya all with me? I just have to learn not to let these so called experts get to me and make me feel poor and worthless...I may be poor I'm not dening that but I am diffently NOT worthless!!

Okay, so now I really want to play this game! It sounds like you and Fem had loads of fun. Don't let the money thing get you down either. You are right that for the average person and/or couple it is not as easy to save as it was 20 or 30 years ago. Jobs just don't pay like they used to. Also, you have to remember that experts are telling you this - hello - they make BIG bucks! As long as you try to save something I think that is a good start. Unfortunately, as you found out with Chad, unplanned things do happen. That's just life! Keep your chin up!
We'll be poor together...have no fear. Experts are paid to make us feel bad....they want our money anyway. I've determined that I'll never be rich, I'll always be scraping for money....and I'm gonna have to learn to be content and accept the ulcers. At least we have Nancy Drew and each other!!! LOL Love you
Hey Kate! I love Nancy Drew games also. They do stump you though!I always wondered how the younger ones figured them out. Gives the brain a good workout!!
